Artist Trading Cards

I am really enjoying making ATCs.  I like them because they go fairly quick, it is a great way to showcase your work, and you get someone elses back to keep.  That is why they are called Artist Trading Cards.  They are 2 1/2 x 3 1/2, the size of a baseball card.

These are the ones I have done so far...

There was an empty spot in Marilyn's 4 seasons swap, so I asked if I could fill it.  She said yes, so this is the winter one I made.
This is the spring one, the last in the series.  I thought it would be cool to have a manly atc in the swap.  There are a total of 16 swappers, so I will get 15 different ones back!
I signed up for a partner's name swap, where we get paired up with one other person, and make an atc for each letter of thier first name.  I got tigardlilly, and made hers below.  I did it all by myself, all Marilyn did was suggest Laura's favorite Bazzill colors, and give me a few ideas on how to use the ribbon I picked out.  I decided to make one for Marilyn's collection, using the first letter of her nickname.

Thanks for looking.  I am going to be making more atcs, so be on the lookout for another post soon.

February AMR Crop

This month's crop, was much more low key, being just a regular crop as opposed to the Anniversary crop.  There were only 4 scrappy challenges, I did all but one.  Here they are...

This one was actually a challenge I posted.  I wanted similar patterned papers, and coordinating colors on a card.
Citrus challenge, use at least 2 citrus colors, ie:orange, yellow, lime green.
Tropical card challenge.

Life Before AMR

So I started scrapbooking, I got in it to be with my wife.  Part of me liked it, part of it was weird-being a guy and all.  As I found out, it wasn't as weird as I thought.  I don't care if other guys make fun of me at all, because I enjoy spending time with her...I don't think I would ever just sit down and do it by myself though.

So last month was All Moments Remembered Anniversary Crop.  I had a great time scrapbooking and hanging out with Marilyn.  Since then, I have been getting more involved, even doing some ATC (artist trading card) swaps.  It is a lot of fun.  AMR is a very friendly place, and being the first guy on the board, I was accepted and welcomed with open arms!  But before I get to that, I want to share what I have done before finding AMR.

These are all the layouts I have done before I joined up at AMR, in order of production.  As I get more accustomed to blogger and scrapbooking, I will add more details on my projects.  These were all done over a year ago, so I couldn't even remember if I wanted to.

I have a few more blog posts ready to go, and will try to update more often, so keep checking in!
